You ship systems for clients. Your HR deserves one too.
Services firms run on people records: who is on which project, which entity pays them, what the appraisal file says. ZekoHR keeps that record clean across entities, free for a year.
Up to 50 employees free for 12 months. No card, no sales call.
What slips between projects, and what ZekoHR does about it
Two entities, two payrolls
The services company and the products LLP each have staff, and someone runs two parallel spreadsheets. ZekoHR is multi-company from the start: separate entities, separate runs, one login.
Contract staff are invisible
Agency-placed developers and individual contractors sit outside HR, so nobody knows when an engagement ends or who approved the rate. The Contractors module keeps them beside employees with an engagement, dates and a manager.
Appraisal season is archaeology
Increment letters in email, old CTC in a sheet, promotion notes nowhere. ZekoHR keeps letters, documents and an audit log against each employee, so the file is complete when review time comes.
Built the way you build things
Multi-entity, role-scoped, audited. Payroll runs with pre-flight checks and collects TDS declarations, so bench or billable, everyone gets paid correctly and the record shows why.
- Multi-company: run the services firm and the LLP side by side
- Contractors and agencies on the same record as employees
- Payroll with pre-flight checks and TDS declarations
- Letters, documents and an audit log per employee

How services firms roll it out
Entities first
Create each legal entity as a company with its own holidays, designations and payslip currency. People who work across both are assigned to both.
Contractors next
Add agencies and individual contractors with their engagements. Agency admins can propose workers for HR to approve; you decide per company what contractors can see.
Then the April cycle
Generate increment letters from a template for the whole batch, update effective-dated salaries, and let payroll pick up the change with arrears if the letters went out late.
When ZekoHR is not the right choice
You need bench and utilisation tracking
ZekoHR is an HR system, not a PSA tool. Attendance and leave are clean on the record, but project allocation, timesheets and billing live elsewhere. Contractor timesheets and invoices are on the roadmap, not shipped.
You run payroll for overseas staff
Payroll is built for Indian entities. Records for a US or Singapore office can live here; their payroll cannot.
You need integrations on day one
There is no integrations marketplace and no self-serve API keys or webhooks yet. If your staffing tool must read HR data today, that is a gap.
Common questions
Can we run our services company and products LLP together?
Yes. Multi-company support runs several legal entities under one org and one login, with departments, holidays and policies scoped per company. Growth includes three companies, Pro twenty-five.
Does ZekoHR track bench versus billable utilisation?
No, and we would rather say so. ZekoHR is an HR system, not a PSA tool. Attendance and leave data are clean and exportable, so your delivery tooling can consume them.
Can we manage contractors and agency staff in the same system?
Yes. The Contractors module keeps individual contractors and agency-placed staff beside employees, each with an engagement holding the rate, dates, manager and SOW. Agencies can propose their own workers for HR to approve.
How does it help at appraisal time?
Letters generate from templates with PDF output, policies carry acknowledgement trails, and the audit log keeps who-changed-what with before-and-after values, so the paper trail is already built.
