For multi-entity groups

Several companies. One roof, one login.

A products company and a services LLP. A holding entity and two subsidiaries. Each has its own payroll, holidays and letterhead, and the same people keep moving between them. ZekoHR runs them under one org, free for a year.

Up to 50 employees free for 12 months. No card, no sales call.

The group reality

What two spreadsheets per entity costs

One person, two entities

The CFO is on the holding company's payroll and the subsidiary's board. People can belong to more than one company, with the right record in each.

Different holidays, same login

The Kolkata entity closes for Puja, the Pune one does not. Holiday calendars, departments, designations and policies are scoped per company.

Payroll per entity, review across all

Each company runs its own payroll in its own currency with its own register. Group HR sees all runs; entity HR sees theirs.

Why it fits a group

Scoped where it matters, shared where it helps

Multi-company from day one. Each entity has its own companies settings, employee code series, holidays, payslip currency and payroll runs. The directory, the feed and the audit log span the group. Roles and HR scope decide who sees which entity.

  • Departments, designations, holidays and policies scoped per company
  • Separate payroll runs and registers per entity
  • People can belong to more than one entity
  • One directory, one feed, one audit log across the group

How teams use it

How groups set it up

Entities as companies

Create each legal entity with its name, address, currency and employee code prefix. Set the holiday calendar and weekly off per company.

Scope the people

Assign each person to their companies. Give entity HR scope to their entities; group HR and founders are Admins.

Run and review

Each entity runs payroll on its own schedule. Group HR reviews across entities; the audit log shows every change wherever it happened.

Honest fit

When ZekoHR is not the right choice

Entities are in different countries

Companies can be anywhere for records, but payroll, tax declarations and payslips are built for India. Overseas entities need their own payroll tool.

You need intercompany cost allocation

ZekoHR records which company a person and a claim belong to. Allocating shared costs across entities is accounting, not HR.

You need more than 25 companies

Growth includes three companies, Pro twenty-five. Beyond that, talk to us before you sign up.

FAQ

Common questions

How many companies can we run?

Starter includes one, Growth three, Pro twenty-five, all under one org and one login.

Can a person be in two entities at once?

Yes. Company assignments let a person belong to more than one company with the right designation and payroll in each.

Can each entity have its own letterhead and policies?

Policies, holidays, departments and designations are scoped per company. Branding, the subdomain and email templates are set once per org; a custom domain per entity is not available yet.

Does group HR see every entity's payroll?

Admins and HR Managers with scope across all companies do. Entity HR with scope to one company sees only that company's runs.
